There is an old saying that if two agree on everything, one of them is not necessary. When it comes to software, I really hate having two applications if they do the same thing. However, with the Google Maps and Nokia Maps that's not the case.

While the applications are somewhat different, they serve the same purpose. Yet, I have them both and more importantly use both of them.

Google has recently released a new 2.2. version of the Google Maps for S60. In this release you will see such cool features as public transport timetables in 60 cities around the world, star ratings for business along with other user-generated content. The overall search speed has increased as well.
